Challenges We Tackle, continuedFor several decades, research and pilot projects have been conducted in and for developing countries to make cooking healthier and stop depletion of forests, as well as to enhance micro-electricity supply to marginalized communities. However, only in few of these countries was the lobby strong enough, the political decision-making and coordination mechansims effcient and sustainable enough, and existing development aid partners well-funded and persistent enough to make these technologies known to a majority of the people and to scale successful projects up nation-wide and internationally.
